SMS Terms

These SMS Terms govern the text messages Beach Buggy sends to its crew. By opting in, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from Beach Buggy at the mobile number you provide, and you agree to these terms.

The program

Beach Buggy sends operational text messages to its drivers and renters — for example: event and reservation alerts, the daily ride digest, and scheduling or account notices. This is an operational program for our crew, not a marketing or promotional program.

How you opt in

You opt in by giving Beach Buggy your mobile number and turning on SMS in your Beach Buggy Rider Port preferences, or by replying START to a Beach Buggy text. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of renting a cab or of any purchase. You confirm that the mobile number you provide is yours.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies. You may receive several messages on active event days and fewer at other times.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply, according to the terms of your mobile plan and carrier. Beach Buggy does not charge for the messages themselves.

How to opt out

Reply STOP to any Beach Buggy text message at any time to unsubscribe. You will receive one confirmation message, and then no further texts. You can also turn SMS off anytime in your Rider Port preferences.

Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission by your mobile carrier and is not guaranteed.

Privacy

Your information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Mobile information obtained as part of the SMS opt-in process — including your phone number and your consent — is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

Changes to these terms

We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. Continued participation in the program after a change means you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, reply STOP to opt out.
